This quilt, WHERE EARTH AND SKY MEET, will be part of the exhibit “A Walk in the Wild” at the Open Space Visitors Center in Albuquerque, NM. The opening reception is November 10, 2012 from 3 – 5 pm.
The concept of the exhibit is unique, as each of the quilts, all designed to be tall and narrow (mine is 72 inches tall and 18 inches wide), will be hung from the ceiling. The subject of each quilt is the New Mexico landscape and the back of each quilt is black, so as you walk through the installation you will feel as if you are taking a “walk in the wild”. The exhibition also has a selection of quilts, “Enchanted Threads”, that will grace the walls of the gallery.
I am looking forward to the opening reception, not only to see the variety of quilts…
